Northwest TeleHealth's TeleER connects rural emergency rooms to urban specialists and provides around-the-clock access to a ‘virtual bed’ staffed by specialists in emergency services, trauma, wound care and pediatrics.
By connecting emergency rooms at small, regional hospitals to Level 2 Trauma Centers in Spokane, TeleER allows the hospital staff to immediately access specialty care consultation, prepare patients for emergency medical transport and receive wound care consultations. This technology gives rural hospital staff the opportunities to help them feel more comfortable in emergency situations.
“TeleER makes care flow smoother and gets the patient where they need to be sooner—resulting in better outcomes. As a small community hospital, we have limited on-site resources. Northwest TeleHealth’s TeleER give us immediate access to urban specialists and patient data. Having this expertise at our fingertips allows us to increase the level of care to the residents of this rural community.”
